Arrived to the receiver shut it off and when it was time to get unloaded I could not star it ( first time in eleven years) it happened around noon, after many check ups , around 10 pm I decided to go to the Buffalo Hunters Peterbilt and get that sensor and see if maybe that’s the problem. Came back put the sensor in plugged it and boom truck is running 😁

Don't forget the O-ring when you go buy the new sensor! I just put my order in for mines at Kenworth. Dem lil puppy's ain't cheap that's for sure, but I'd rather replace the sensor than an ECM right? Thanks for the video 👍

Thats Exactly the Symptoms of the 2007 Petercar with the Cat we have been trying to Diagnosis and fixed. Same thing we went Thru! Fuel Delivery/ Filters??? Ground Issues??? Batteries etc.... I am about to go try this. Great Video! Thank You Sir for Your Knowledge and Wisdom. JBrown Barry, TX

The sensor has to be properly gaped , it comes with a spacer (washer) ,you screw the sensor in ,then unscrew it remove the washer , screw it back in ,then it will be properly gapped

The old style sensor you had to pull the slip head out (be careful) install remove and add shim. The new style refer to SEBD6791. Contact your local Cat dealer.

@@johngoldsmith6629 Can you tell by looking at the one in his hands if its the new one? I just had to replace mine & the new style is noticeably different from the old. Old is only 6 sided & new is probably 12 sided. The new one I installed looks like the one he's holding in this video anyway. We're trying to figure out if it's just a simple turn it in & forget it or if there is more to it.

@@samuelforrest9575 It is the newer style. The old style was larger and you had to pull the center out. It was plastic and could break. Both require a shim, however the newer style may require two shims. As I stated you have to read SEBD6791 from Cat. Your local dealer can provide the info. Or I need to know you engine serial number.

Did you just have to screw it in by hand & a little more with a wrench? Was that all there was to it or did you have to tighten it then loosen it a little? Or did you need to turn the key at all to help time it? I'm not sure, just some of the things I'm hearing about the installation. Don't want to ruin a new $206 part c'mon. Hope you're still monitoring this channel. Have a good one & thank you for sharing.

I hand tightened in and gave it a little wrench action. Started the truck. Made the video and left. Nothing to it. Not a mechanic, just broke, so I did it myself.

We located the problem after trying to fix it as a fuel delivery problem. It wasn't,t. We just ran the truck and wiggled the wires and it almost died. Professional !!!

@@JamesFergusonAtGooglePlus Hahaha...yeah your right professional 😁. I had a bad occasional miss and when I got my guy at Cat to come out and listen, it wouldn't sputter. Darn thing was purrr'n and made me look a little foolish...lol. So my Cat guy (Justin) grabbed a section of a wire harness (magic fingers this guy) and she went to sputtering and found the problem. Wire was broken inside the insulation. $200.00 bucks and plug'n play and back to truck'n👍. I told him to bring his magic fingers and let's go pick the lottery numbers... LMAO 😂

Yes, 6N4414. Keep your hand pump and a 1P0436 Gasket, just in case you need it, in your truck.

@MrRev232 had to replace all injectors, clean tanks and new lines n filters... this bio fuel is the culprit.
