When I was a young dumb teenger @ 14 I ran my car in a ditch, and it bent the frame. The hood wouldn't close, and my father took a chain hooked it to one side of the frame, and other end of the chain to a Ford 9N tractor. Then hooked a chain to the other frame side, and then around the base of a electric pole in the yard then took all the slack out of the chain, and once he did he then pulled hard on it several times, and straighten the frame that was in 1984 he died several years later he would have been a 107 years old today if alive he worked at Goodyear makin tires for 40 years damn he was so smart at doing anything he did lookin back.

Did you ever notice that the sooner after the accident you start straightening the easier it is to get straight? Most of my experience has been rolled over dump trucks and dump trailers and I always thought they were straightening easier because of my adreniline, But like 30 years ago an old timer told me it was because the internal stresses caused by the rollover hadn't relaxed yet. Basically the stresses in the steel were helping return it to it's original shape. Curious, do you ever recamber trailer beams with a rosebud to shrink the lower flange?
