This video helped me restring my 1962 Johnson Seahorse 10hp recoil. I found it to be the most informative and detailed. Well done

Excellent video rocket city motors, well detailed and explained by you; this will help me tremendously with my 83' Evinrude 25 H.P. starter recoil spring replacement. My alignment marks and arrow pointer are off by about 20 deg. or 1-1/4". This should help me pull on the rope start a lot easier once repair is complete. Thanks man!

@@bjjohnston2868 I didn't count, sorry, but I went around till it became real tough to hold on. I guess it must have been 6-7 turns as it did gobble a good 5 feet of cord upon release. Regards !

Thanks for your video, it sure helped !! I thought it was strange that the Seirra spring I bought was too large for the housing. But noticed yours was the same. Hate winding them things !

Would this work on a 1964 Johnson 5.5hp engine? It’s spring snapped right at the end as I was winterizing it (I was able to finish) and I wouldn’t want to get the wrong part

Love your videos man very informative and have helped me out a lot, do you have a video you can recomend of yours to help me set the points and fine tune my outboard, it's a 1971 Johnson 25hp, I've seen people using melmiters and tuning guns , others by the Mark's on the magneto, which do you recommend?
