Hi Folks,
Here's a very interesting LED pool game from the recent bundle of electronic games I got from eBay. It doesn't work, but I'm sure we can get it to!
Join me as I take a closer look at the unit, strip it down and give it the love it so desperately needs!

Thanks for watching. It's a lovely little game isn't it? I didn't actually know how to play it until after I got it running, but I've had a go since. Amazing what could be achieved with a handful of LEDs. Simpler days back then!

I've seen one of these before, it might have been on KZbin. I love the ingenuity of these old games.

It's amazing isn't it how many games (football, hockey, tennis etc) were based on a handful of LEDs - so simple nowadays; but you could see how even then, companies were squeezing every last bit of potential (and profit!) out of the tech they had.

@@retro_restos When you think about it, the technology we use now isn't that much different. Only now the LED screens we use have millions of multi-coloured LED's on them instead of a small bunch of simple red LED's. It had to start somewhere though, and that beginning was ingenious.

Nice work! Honestly surprised to see a full size speaker and not a piezo speaker in there, seems to be a pretty nice quality little game.

Yes, they really did make some quality kit back then. Even the casing plastic is solid. I guess they hadn't learned how to cheapen things back then! Thanks for watching 👍
