I have a few decorations that use rope lights to outline the decorations. For Christmas I have a decoration that looks like a big red bow. For the fall, I have one that looks like a big orange pumpkin. For Halloween one is a few bats. For Valentine's Day, I have one that is two hearts and a bow and arrow. All of these decorations have part of the lights...or segments...burned out. I really don't want to throw them out, but this looks like more than I can repair myself. I may need to find someone to do this repair. Thanks for showing me that it is possible.

Turn lights off when doing the close ups so we can see the insides of tube, we will cut..Also where to get the repair parts, & slow your roll w/your name hardley can get that part either..Gall below seems to feel the same way, too! Thanks, & love that color..Kinda looks like mine, they appear purple until lite, then become more pink..? I like the purple better.

Thank you for the video, good stuff I can replace one section on the second rope I have. The ropes I have are that exact rope. Problem is that one of them is almost impossible to replace. It got bent so bad the wire inside got cut, at the very beginning of the rope. Can I just strip it and reconnect then and use electrical tape? You can’t see that part of the rope anyways. What are the connectors called and where do you get them? Thanks

Thank you for this, now hopefully I can fix my lights and not throw them out. I live in Australia, so can I buy those connectors here or can I buy them from you. Regards Danni

I am trying to repair outages on an old Christmas display.... I cannot see any cut marks on these old rope light strings, and the discoloration of the tube is also getting in the way! I assume (per your video) that if I make my cuts close to the outage sides I should be okay with respect to those jumper wires..... correct? Also, some of the outages are clear colored tubes, some colored tubes..... other than purchasing a lot of rope lights with lets say red color tubing (I only need a couple of feet of red), would there be a product I could purchase that would go over the clear tubing that would give me a colored section ..... like some colored tubing sleeve? Thanks!

Is there a shop to send my rope lights to? Mine has a short in it and I just got them a year ago for Halloween. Frustrated.

The wires you’re trying to show are completely out of focus. Could you re-record this demo with some attention on focusing your camera to the proper depth?

OKAY. Partial success. mbkpinternational.com/ is a seller of paper cutters or something like that. But I can tell the videos were done in the same place by the same guy. If anyone wants to give me contact info, plz feel free.
