Hi Bryan, does that guitar have a "Tony Rice" sized sound hole? It looks bigger than standard in the video

I have no idea. I wasn't there. I don't know if they even HAD "gauges" then. Ask John Arnold or someone more knowledgeable about prewars than me?

Brian, how thick would you make the wings of an Indian rosewood bridge? I have one that was around 0.200" after someone shaved it down, so I glued a shim underneath to bring it to .345-.360

I shoot for .145 on the bass wing, .125 on the treble wing. .320" at the low E and .300 at the high e. .360 is okay for a thicker bridge but about as thick as I'd go.

@@Bryankimsey thanks! I'll aim for those numbers

Your doing a great job on the D-28. Where can I get contact info I would like to get a neck re-set on my D-42 if you have time.

I have an aluminum 24" ruler, 1 1/2" wide. I wouldn't be able to get anything done without it. It's real good as a straight edge too. Fifty bucks? Goin' to play poker are ya'?

Hey Brian, have you ever done a large sound hole on a HD35? It has a really pronounced bass now, which I like, but mids are a little weak.

I don't know. I've done D-35's though. Quite a few of them. Before and after: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoXOpKScd9mUppI A D-35; kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5yYnIWqnMSsrKs
