Thank you for making this video! Not sure how old mine was when I purchased my home 3 years ago but the turntable went kaput first, then the whole unit started shorting out when I tried to use it. Today was the last straw so I was able to dismantle and remove my unit by watching this. (I put a heavy leather ottoman under the microwave to catch it since I was doing this myself, then just pulled it off the wall bracket). :)

Great article had a UNIQUE problem , a cricket had gotten into door(came in bottom of door at hinge) , crawled between inner and outer door and was not happy . Wife was flipping out !! THANKS !!

I have the same/similar model of microwave but i have an extra screw behind the front control panel that needs to be removed to get the panel off. I had to change the fuse but found out after i had reassembled everything, theres a different electrical problem with the microwave. As soon as i plugged it back into the wall socket, there was a quick flash and the circuit breaker was tripped. Wasted an hour changing the fuse, now i probably need a new microwave.

Would it be possible to get the outer door panel piece separately? Part of it seems to have melted and sagged, causing it to pull apart from the door assembly when opening the microwave.

i have the same problem so i bought the fuses BUT the left hand screw holding the top cover was buried under the edge of the cabinets above so what would be the next step?I was thinking of loosening the screws that hold the microwave onto the bracket and siding it out far enough to get to the screw. Does tis sound like it would work?thanks

I have a similar model MW and it was very difficult to remove door. I found if you remove inside trim plate first it was much easier to remove door . Plastic post holding spring for latch assy. was broken so I added small length of wire to spring and anchored it to another post nearby.

Older models frigidaire remove vent above front door. Remove big screw on left then right.

Believe a micro switch controls light . Need to remove cabinet and test 3 switches. $5 on e-bay. I think 1 is for light, 1 is for turntable, and 1 is for power. Hope this helps.
