I have this same one but can't find any videos of using it. Reason I say this is the buttons are different from the older sharp ones. The plus key on this is only plus not +/= so it acts different since it has an = key. Love to see how this one different from the sharps and victors as far as doing math on it.

I have a canon P170 DH calculator that suddenly quit working. It shows an "E" on the left side of the screen. Just wondered if this stands for "error"? Is it fixable or time to replace the machine? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Great Videos and hoping to solve E message on canon MP25 DV calculator (looks same as MP11DX) that also won`t let me use printer. I have cleaned as you have illustrated, checked gear on motor that it is Not spinning on shaft - which it is Not, All gears seem to move a little but are locked until malfunction of either electrical signal or mechanical issue is solved. Also No paper jam. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

How to change the ribbon on the cannon MP11DX

Pop the top cover off, pop out the two spools, put in the new spools and snake the ribbon through the C-shape. Done

See which pulley is driving since these auto reverse at the end of the ribbon to reuse and put empty spool on that side.

The bar is in lock mode against ribbon

Press the reset button. If it's this model it should auto reverse the ribbon at the end to reuse automatically

I have the exact same calculator. For some reason it just started and continues to print a number on every line on the left side of the paper with each calculation. It used to give a number only at the last total. Any ideas why, or how to fix it?

You're in Item Count mode.

This is an adding machine, not a POS device or cash register. There are no Z-tapes to run reports for sales.

Great video, thank you! I had another version open and the rubber mat was intact except for the button under the add button. It was hanging on bit a thread, basically. Do you know if it is possible to order a replacement or fix it when it had ripped off? The springy function doesn't work as a result...if that makes sense. And do you know if it is possible to find images of the insides of the machine as it is laid out?

You probably can't get replacement mats. I once fixed a rubber dome button on a laptop keyboard by gluing it back into place with RTV silicone. Other that, I don't know.

High pitched sound intermittently when the calculator in plugged in. Only way to stop it is to unplug it.

Have you guys tried the reset button on the bottom of the machine? Press with pen or paper clip and hold it in for 10 seconds with power on

A more in depth explanation of where the 2 hidden screws are and how to access them would have been nice. I see no signs of what you’re talking about, and can’t separate the top and bottom.

I think there are different versions of this machine. I have an older one. The bottom cover has 5 screws, all visible. Remove them and the bottom cover snaps off with some heavy prying with a plastic tool. Inside, mine looks different from the one in the video.
