Thank you so very much. We had an older chair from my wife's grandfather that wasn't nice enough to pay for reupolstering but still usable. Without the button it wasn't usable for us. Your video taught me how to fix it and we will enjoy the chair for many more years!

Wow, you explained this so, so, well. Especially the "slip knot" slow, slow procedure. Thanks & well done!

Wonderful video! Thank you. I need to replace a popped button and tighten a loose one. Now I know how. I have the needles (not the German one, sadly) from my grandmothers sewing box. Finally know how to use them.

My tufting has lost its tuft. I can do the button method, no problem, but the leather cushion is not removable and the slip-knotted button does not create the “lost” tufting I need to replicate. What can I do?

I removed the bottom cover and pulled through to the bottom with a long upholsery (10" needle). All fixed! Looks perfect. THx.

How do you retrieve a button that has slipped into the sofa through the tuft. I have tried pulling it through by slipping a band around it but it won't stay out.

What happens if the fabric on the outside of the furniture stretched, so the button is still attached inside the batting of the furniture? Do I sew the button hole or would it be easier to cut the button that’s still attached and do this method?
