John great fix of Hardening the Key Way around that lake. I live near Lake Okeechobee here in Florida. The Army Corps of Engineers have been Working on the dike for over 15 years.-They spent over $2 billion so far. The latest repairs include a 4 foot wall in the keyway that uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the banks so there’s no flooding. Again great job buddy

John the next time you put your pipe in the ground fall into the water for your drain wrap a couple of your chains around it or even a couple bolts inside of it screw man and put some blocks on the end of it so it'll sink down and it'll stay there

Hey John next time you find the big hole of the Beaver dam going through the pond put a little fire in there and grab some dead grass and one bit of wet grass on top of it stick on top of that fire and grab one of your own electric battery powered thing blowers put it on low and let it blow in the smoke into the hole and that should show you every hole that is inside that damn and plus also get ready to craters real quick

This looks exactly like my pond and property layout, I'm in NC, 2 acre pond and i have the exact problem (damage from muskrat burrows in my dam). I had a beaver issue too but got rid of them with a 330 connibear. Jw, what is the rough cost to build the dam back up?

Glad that you made sure that truck was far enough to not get damaged... but as I was watching a was also getting a bit worried due to the more you were digging it seems like the less and less road above you , you had, and that Road or crossing was NOT that wide to begin with. Just my thoughts, and since I know very little about what your doing, just looking at all this, would it be more possible to instead of just moving all the soft dirt all over the place, to instead bring in some gravel, with more dirt, and spread it over?? More gravel than dirt, and give the little critters less material to dig their homes out of??

I hope they got rid of the muskrats or they will dig the new holes faster than you can repair them. You have to use big expensive machines to dig the holes out and all they use is two little feet. Muskrats are good eating since they are vegetarians.

If the land owner is interested in saving that pond, EVERY tree and root from the water line to the back base of the dam should be removed. If it's not in the budget to fix it now, it will cost more later 🙁
@davidfarley11752 жыл бұрын
Why take a chance you should have stopped when you saw all of the rocks in the dam it was not good soil when the dam was built to many rocks and not good clay. that way you can cover your butt and tell the owers the pond needs drains and good clay can be hauled in, it will leak again there's no way of fixing it with more bad dirt
@jeffcecil9932 жыл бұрын
To much wasted motion with machine results in a lot of wasted fuel even if it’s trying to make a longer video.
