Sometime get yourself a fiberglass eraser. There’s nothing better in the world for cleaning chip legs or cleaning contacts. It shines them up like a diamond. They make different sizes I get mine on Amazon it’s an amazing tool. I previously used smooth grit sandpaper like you did until I found them

i was getting a hum, so i changed my settings to zero on 31 thru 35 on the adjustment mode. humming was gone, game sounds still work
