Free education is not reparations it's pacification. It takes motivation and work to get knowledge and a degree. Many of us will not take advantage of it and those who do will only be enriching the coffers of the government and educational institutions, which are majorly owned / run/ on the payroll by white Americans. They would just be giving themselves more money if reparations were tied to education. Which would put us further behind in financial equality. What we need is a check. Cut one for every man, woman and child born in the year that it's given out. Let's put this whole conversation to bed once and for all. Not my business if your lazy addict of a cousin blows thru his money in 6 months that's his business, if your brother invests his money wisely and ends up a millionaire in a few years that's his business. If your Mother pays off her house and put it in a trust for her children so that she's creating generational wealth that's her business. The same way a large portion of white Americans are still reaping the benefits with no effort on their part because of the generational wealth created from slavery. We want some form of perpetual freebie also or at the very least enough capital to shoot or shot. Our ancestors worked, bled and suffered for us. Not giving their descendants reparations is a crime of the highest caliber.
