Repentance - Part One

Like some in the church today, many in the crowd were religious, but lost. Alistair Begg explains that by calling these listeners to repent, John was urging them to turn away from their bondage to sin and empty religion and toward abundant and eternal life in Christ.

At what point do we receive the Holy Spirit , biblically? At acceptance of the truth ? after repentance? It must be before transformation right? I want to witness correctly

We receive the Holy Spirit at the time of our conversion, when we surrender to Jesus' feet in repentance and faith for salvation, we are sealed by the Spirit 2Co. 1.22; we become the dwelling place of the Spirit Eph.2.22.
