Only video I’ve seen which has shown where you can find the engine firing order and also clearly shows the A & B wire and plug location relationship. Showing how to test for a spark has an excellent safety tip - anyone who has ever grabbed a plug wire will appreciate it and also get a chuckle wishing they’d watched this previously!

Solid information to test spark, the location of the firing order on the cover and creative way of utilizing the round needle nose pliers.

That was very helpful and full of useful information thank you! I had suspected I put my ignition coil wire in without snapping so now I need to go back and inspect it. You even mentioned that twice!

Thanks for the video, how do you know what wires go to what spark plug. I have a ml320 and am getting random misfire trouble codes and I can't figure out if I have the wrong wire on the wrong spark plug. Thank You

Hello Each cylinder has two plug wires. The first wire on each cylinder is nearest to the front of your vehicle, lets call them the #1 plug wire just for reference. That #1 plug should go to the top (a) on your coil and the next one over #2 wire should go to the bottom (b) on your coils. This is true for every cylinder.

Thank You, For cylinders 123 the longer wire is labeled with a K which plugs to conection b on ignition coil. but on cylinders 4 and 5, instead of having a longer K wire, I have the shorter G wire. I am also getting a misfire error code on cylinders 456. So trying to figure out if by having the shorter G wire, that is causing my fires.@@ogsgarage7889

How do you get to the plugs on the driver's side on a 98 ML320
@ogsgarage78893 жыл бұрын
Hello, You're probably talking about the shield? Try removing the coils and wires like I showed on the other side. will give you more room. The long pliers will help remove the wires from the plugs. Try putting the socket on the plug then inserting your extension. The rear ones are a little tricky, but with a little effort you can do it. The plugs may be tight so you might need a breaker bar or extension for leverage. Good luck.

It’s tight and why I’m about to start today on the driver’s side! Hopefully will make the passenger side and finishing up seem like a breeze and end on a positive note!

I watched this just for the coil removal and you were standing in front of the camera. I didn't get to see it at all
@ogsgarage78892 жыл бұрын
HELLO, Sorry about that. Once you remove that center screw the coil comes right off, Just remove the harness and the plug boot. I show how to remove the harness and the plug boot. that's all you need to do. Hope that helps.
