I've just re-corded three wide tracks that were quite messed up (I bought an ex-rental from hell to live in) and this video helped me heaps! I'd forgotten how to do it. After a good clean (someone thought industrial grease might make them work argh!!!) and replacing the gliders they work perfectly. Very relieved to have them working and all of the centres match. Thank you!

This is easily the best and most informative video explaining how to feed the cord in curtain tracks so that the curtains open and close. I have spent countless hours trying to do feed the cords

Thanks very much for taking the time to make this video. I would not have been able to re-cord our curtains without your clear and nicely paced explanation. Very grateful!

Brilliant video - followed it and re-corded the curtains successfully. Not a chance I would have been able to do it without your explanations. A small flat head screwdriver was another good tool to use with the tweezers. Cheers

Flushing from the Netherlands (in the orginal Zealand ;-) Says thanks a lot! It helped my 86 year old father and me to repair instead of despair! And it caused a nice father-daughter moment!

Thanks John, after watching several videos yours's was the one that I used and finally got it right. The FIRST tie off is the most crucial one. Frustration was mounting before you came up with the solution.

great video !!! easy explanation !!! Thank you for this video. after I started applying curtains to sliders the curtain plates didn't move perfectly, they stay at same place, but only the cord moves. if the video would have been extended until the application of curtain to sliders and moving accordingly that would be appreciated

The video is to "Replace"a cord. Everything you need should be in the old track.?????? Including gliders.

Where do I purchase the cord? In Australia btw, have a spotlight store near me
@themav34202 жыл бұрын
Anybody who makes curtain, tracks usually a curtain maker. yes spotlight or lincraft, Ebay. Most common size is 2.0 do not use 1.4 or 1.6mm. Good luck.

Clear demostration, but A simple diagram on a sheet of paper, at the bwginning, showing where is the hanging chord, how the chord us placed, and where to start, could make it more easy to undetstand. Also, placing the camera before you, can give us the view we will have whilw doing it, not the opposit one. Take it in consideration for other explanations. Thanks anyway.

Dam, doesn't show properly how to detach from brackets, or at least not the ones I have. My cord's still threaded, just the outer layer of the string is gone, so I can just follow it to rethread, but first I need to figure out how to get it down
@themav34202 жыл бұрын
There are many different brackets. Bottom line is they are all simple mechanics. Take your time & think iot out.
@mehere80382 жыл бұрын
@@themav3420 I found another video that showed me how to do it, there's a screw on the outside of the brackets that needs unscrewing to release them. Not a case of "think it out" for me, I'm in a wheelchair & was sitting on milk crates to reach the curtain rod over my sink & could just reach it sitting on 4 milk crates high & leaning over, but certainly not get to a location where I could actually see the screw or what I was doing, I needed the information in advance as to what I had to feel for & manipulate to release them
