Thanks for the video 👍In case of E89 this is exactly the same procedure. You can access it from the engine space which might be a bit easier than grill removal

Hmmm, alrighty, hope I ordered the correct front hood emblem. Some pop off, and pop on. But really this is better. It's funny, when you removed the front grill, I was expecting some complicated over-engineered 15+ steps involving removal of several parts to follow 😅.

Nope. Simple. Only issue could be if your socket isn't deep enough to reach the nut 😅

If you see this, do the two speed nuts hold the emblem tight in place? Or should some form of adhesive be applied (there was no evidence of adhesive upon removal of old badge)? I don't want to have the badge loose or rattling. Im surprised the trunk grommets don't fit the front holes. Trunk grommets are too big for the front badge pins. I'd like to put this badge on. 🙂 Trunk badge went on easy.

Hi Drew! Thanks for the video, just wondering but do all Hood/Bonnet BMW emblem come universal for all BMWs? Like would a X1/318i/etc Bonnet BMW Emblem fit on the Z4?

No they aren't but some do share the same parts. Just make sure before you buy see what the listed compatibilities are.

No, here is the piece for that: geni.us/UN3FQ As you can tell it is different. From what I've seen. Heat, Pop off, and replace

Where did you find a threaded one? All the ones im finding arent threaded on the back prongs.

The prongs aren't threaded. The nuts cut into them creating the grooves

On mine the nuts are just spinning and won't come off , any advice would be welcome

Hmmm. Maybe if you can get behind the nuts and snap the prongs off since you will replace it anyway. Good luck 👍

There is also the possibility your socket isn't deep enough to grab the nut so you are just spinning on the prong

I just broke the prongs off, then the nuts come right off. I lost one inside the car somewhere, though, but you can buy them for a few bucks...

On my 2004 the emblem was only glued. The posts are not threaded and there were no nuts.

Do you think that someone replaced the original with that and just glued it? The posts will not be threaded. The nuts will cut into the posts to thread them. Check my other comment for the parts.

do you know what size is the emblem?

I believe it is 70mm but be careful since not all of that size will have the same back. So I would try to go with these for the front: geni.us/T23TDj
