Also on the other side where the down tube comes down behind the primary cover where it connects to the forged mount check to make sure it's not cracked , Harley eventionaly put a weldment plate in to support that area starting in the 1965 year

Do you know what the hole in the cross tube on the frame below the kicker cover is for? It's to put the Harley two piece jack tip into

Also check the left side down tube where it connects to the forged mount behind the primary cover the frames have been known to crack at the weld ,in 1965 harley put a weldmebt plate in this area

When I tried to take the clutch arm off and would not come off but I got it to come up a little bit. Of course after I got the cover off I seen that I had bent the eclipse that held it on inside. So I had to bend the clip back in the end op taking me arm off the shaft using my press so I cleaned all the rest out now it comes off and on easy but it's not sloppy on the shaft.
