Can changing the front tranny mount throw the alignment of the shifter off? As after installing a rebuilt engine and new clutch cable on my 67 bus along with the tranny mount the shifter is grinding going into reverse, like its not going far enough into gear and when it is and when I let up on the clutch it just pops out of gear which feels like it was barely in. And I thought that maybe I didn't have the clutch cable not tight enough but after tighting it down a little more its still the same. Hmm?

This is a older post I know, but "YES", there is a nylon bushing inside the hole towards the engine. I would bet over 60% or more are bad on cars. Just a bad design. If your sifter is clanking or it sounds like its hitting metal, the bushing is bad and don't even exists anymore. Its like a $3.00 part to replace.
