Replacement Heifers

Just a quick clip of this years replacement heifers. We use a Red Angus cleanup bull following A.I. on our replacements. If you happen to notice a Hereford bull in the group it is because he left his group of cows to be with the heifers. Immediately following this video I got the Hereford bull back where he belongs. Yes, the Red Angus is cleanup after A.I. and they will all be bred Hereford next time.

They are indeed beautiful Heifers. Strong and hardy. The Bulls, may I enquire as to how many years approx do the bulls breed and what happens to them when they're retired ? 🌳☺☺🌳

We keep the very elite select few to live out their days after they are retired. The rest of them go to market. It is sad, but we do not have the space to keep all of the retired bulls around.

Any bulls for sale ? Looking for anything under 4 months so I can connect with it and bond with it as it gets older and eventually I want to breed it with my neighbors cattle and then basically have one as a “pet” even though some might disagree I have had a lot of experience with cattle and I had a bull at my grandmas house for 4 years he was amazing and always let me hang out with him and I bottle fed him as he grew we would walk the pasture together and I’d even ride my dirt bike and he would follow me but if I got off my bike and left it running he would try and push it over ect. He was always really Gentle and in a way protective cause he would never let the other cows around me it really proved to me and the locals that bulls aren’t the monsters that people assume them to be I’m not saying every bull will be like that but proper care and love will make amazing things happen

Do you run the red angus so you can tell the difference if the ai misses we run red balancer bulls and red angus and you can see the difference in colors on the calves

Yes that is why. We also have a great market for the F1 Red Baldies for breeding stock to a customer that will buy all we can raise!
