If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.

I made the change today of the both side. The bolt that was hard to remove has break into its place on the both side.... I saw it looks like 10.9 steel 9 diameter but font know the length. dont know how to remove too the rest of the bolt still in place..
@CoatsandGaiters
@CoatsandGaiters 3 жыл бұрын
@ Oh blimey, sorry to hear that. Mine was stuck in place as well and had to keep winding back and fourth to get it out. A snapped bolt isn't going to be fun to remove. Might be a case of drill the bolt out and use and ezi out thread remover. Sometimes lots of heat and penetrating fluid does it.

Hi. Where did you get the removal and installation set? I have trouble finding it. My Haynes manual indicates that that set is only needed when you don't remove the axle from the vehicle. Thanks to your video I can clearly see it is always needed.

Brilliant tooling skills just as filming. Incredible. Thanx. About to do this next week. Just wondering how to get around that bushing press tool. Forexample: Two robust cups, drill 2 holes in them and use a coil spring threaded removal kit, then with a gun you can aply 300Nm easily and literary shoot the old bushing out in a seconds...

Hi great video but can you explain why you compressed the rear springs?
@CoatsandGaiters
@CoatsandGaiters 9 ай бұрын
The spring will be forcing the damper apart making it a bit harder to remove. By compressing the spring it takes any loading off the bolts.

Nice video. Very clear. Good video quality. Clear voice over. There is one remark. I think that you should tighten the nut (with the bearing underneath it), and not the bolt head. This will give you a much higher tension in the bolt, at the same torque. I have the impression that the axle bush not not seated completely, because of this error. I just saw that you do it in the right way here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2eWlqaLn7B_j9U

I know they are old cars now but I have done these twice and they have gone again it is disgusting Renault have never done a modification on these bushes as they are clearly made wrong and the failure rate unacceptable if this is Renault Engineering and customer care steer clear in future.

It's funny you say that as the original ones seem to last years but the replacements don't seem the same. Maybe the rubber has changed over the years and degrades quicker.

@@CoatsandGaiters not many people realise it and this causes them to prematurely pull the release cable which doesn't always reset itself. You can manually ram the cable (right side I believe) and click it back into the release mechanism inside the unit. People spend hundreds on having the unit repaired and it's as simple as pushing the cable 😆.
