you can ask a mechanic to measure it for you... if they are nice they will do it for free. They will also measure it for you for free, if you are going to buy a new one from them.

22.0 centimetres is about 8 inches. I think he meant 22 millimetres

no, cause mm is smaller than cm. so 22 mm would be around 0.8 inch

Yeah, seat posts are measured in MM not CM.

I have a Schwinn 20 inch girls bike that was given to me but I am unable to get the seat post out. I've never seen where there wasn't a clamp for the seat post. It seems to just be jammed in there. Do you have any suggestions to remove the seat post? I am squirting some blaster around it but it is tight.

Why would you need that, seems it would just make the seat post not stay up. You need friction to make it stay in place, why reduce the friction. It's not like the seat post is meant to move.

@@atnfn The lube also serves as anti-seize compound, so that the post will not "freeze" to the tube long term.
