Straight skills man, like your vacuum set up too. The only thing that i would do differently is to use wet rags and remove the txv bulb from the pipe when i braze, just to stay away from trouble down the road. Have learnt a lot from you keep up the good work!

I put a wad of wet toilet paper on line to protect that and I spray the Insulation on cover soak it cause I've had people panic from smell even after I warn them

Purge thru suction line if you have txv, needed a wet rag on txv and bulb, drier last better inside. Like your videos

I've seen inexperienced guys replace cabinet when they didn't have to just replace the coil and the door and of course clean the inside of cabinet before sliding new coil in

You should check out a turbo torch. You can use different tips on different sizes. Just my 2 cents

Depending on where the air handler is. We put it in the cooler place.

Why do you braze with clogged nozzles in your torch? a set of cleaning needles for the burners of your torch would allow a straight flame. Also why do you mount the dryer in the liquid line outdoors. The casing of the dryer is steel and corrodes that can spring a leak. Typically you mount the dryer indoors next to the evaporator so it cannot rust and leak.

@@briancarlisi2224 Bury it in the wet clay in the Dallas TX metro area and you will be surprised when a outdoor drier springs a leak because it corrodes through when it is made from steel

Who buries a filter drier and why??? I have never seen such in over 30 years.

@@briancarlisi2224 in many cases the liquid line from the condensing unit is very long and the filter drier lays on the ground. over time it gets stepped into the soil and is half way submerged in dirt. over time the steel rusts and then you have a leak. Just mount them inside next to the evaporator and problem is solved for good. Typically when I change them and it is outdoors the new one I put in indoors, so one leak worry less.

Question? Have you thought about adding a pvc union into your condensate drains. We started that on new install and any VIP maintenance customers. It helps more than I thought about. Also we can only get cases coils now no more uncased around. Most times we just swap the coil still.

Nice coil swap, better than in the attic! BTW, I like ICP/Carrier, when push comes to shove, nothing wrong with leaving the cabinet (always let the customer know first of course) and putting the front panels as you mentioned. The Same coils fit the A/H back to 1990s and Coil cabinets around 2006. Well at least they will get 10 years on this one if they register it.

I've changed alot of coils that way now few yrs back had big scare using torch to disconnect lines had oil in it boy what a big ball of fire so I cut them out now. I use a different kind of flow meter for nitrogen has a little bb in it think it's NRP what is that you have?
