Replacing a Gear Shift Bulb on a Jeep Wrangler

Oh man. Came here from Reddit after realizing the new darkness in my Wrangler legwells was because the center console shift light wasn't working any more...and nope, I have no idea how long it was out before thinking something might be wrong. Reddit feedback was that it was a DIY job, but a major PITA. Your video confirmed that. I'm a little OCD about automotive lighting (interior and exterior) and 100% understood your delight at the successful illumination of the replacement. I am lucky to live close to a Jeep specialty shop. I see too many chances to hurt myself (or a Wrangler part) because of my own poor record with DIY automotive work. Best of several videos on this repair I've watched. Bravo Zulu!

my cup holders dont light up either in addition to the shifter....would this simple bulb replacement fix that also or is the cup holder a whole other issue?

Do you think an LED version would work ok here? I know there can be flicker issues sometimes when swapping for LEDs
