This video helped out a lot. But yeah you gotta work some magic and have some patience to get it out. I changed mine and now I’m back up and running! Wasn’t gonna pay no mechanic $700 it might took a little long than if they did it but I saved money by doing it myself!! Thanks for this video!!!

But you pull towards the front of the car to get it loose and get the belt off.

That’s awesome, I’m glad my video was able to help you. This is why I made it so you can do it yourself and feel good about it. I am the same way when it comes to dyi and not letting mechanics over charge for something that I can do myself even if it takes a hour or two. Thank you for the kind words.

Does this apply to a 2015?

If it the same 2.4L ecotec. If your looking at the engine and it looks identical to the one in the video then follow the steps and just make sure you have the correct alternator.

I’m thinking of replacing the alternator just because my car stalls out and it like shakes a little bit and then like the headlights for some reason like brightens and it slows down when it does shake and does that weird thing do you think it’s the alternator?
@tylerm23837 ай бұрын
If your having issues with your car staying on and you have changed the battery multiple times in let say a year or even two then it’s most likely your alternator. Your battery starts the car but your alternator runs the car.

What made you think it was the alternator? Was a message popping up?
@tylerm2383 Жыл бұрын
The battery kept dying. We had to replace the battery 3 times in less than 2 years, all brand new batteries. I have some knowledge on vehicles, so we did a process of elimination and this was the first part we decided to change and it was the issue everything works great and still no issues at all.

@@tylerm2383how did you move the hose with the metal attached in front of the alternator? Not the coolant hose
@tylerm2383 Жыл бұрын
@@TheIce512man I didn’t, everything I mentioned in the video was what I removed. The only thing I reinstalled before making the video was the alternator.

Lmao... No, it doesn't just "come right out....

I mentioned in the video, you’ll have to move it around a little to get it out but you don’t have to take off any hoses. I did and it works. If you need help, provide me with details of where your having trouble and I can see if I can help you.
