Replacing an iPhone XS Max screen with Ace Tech from Amazon

In this video I show how to replace an iPhone XS Max screen with one I bought from Amazon. It took me about an hour to replace the screen.
The screen replacement sold by Ace Tech is decent. It has good color saturation that leads me to believe it is a true OLED screen. It's very close to an OEM or original iPhone XS Max screen. However, there is one big caveat: the screen has a larger bottom bezel. This is due to the OLED screen not being flexible, as opposed to the original. I have linked to more information below.
Please be aware that once you replace the screen, you lose True Tone, and so the screen colors will look different. My girlfriend was able to remedy this issue by making the color temperature cooler, or bluer using the Night Shift mode. You may also try using color filters. Also, more information linked below.

the screen quality is comparable. The screen is not a flexible oled screen, so the bottom bezel is a little bigger than the stock screen.

Thanks for the comment! This was my exact experience which was why I decided to make a video about it! There were two main requirements for me when I chose this screen - the screen had to be OLED with comparable colors to the original, and the size needed to be comparable to the original. For OLED, I excluded vendors that did not explicitly say the screen was OLED. I did not want to leave anything up in the air and accidentally end up with a LCD screen. For the size, since that is hard to tell from the product description and images, I was prepared to return the screen if it wasn't acceptable. In hindsight, I would look for a screen that said explicitly that it was "Soft" or "Flexible" OLED. I did not understand what "Hard" OLED meant in the product description for this screen, but it means that the bottom bezel will be slightly larger. For me, the overall final result was acceptable so I decided to keep the screen, but if I ever had to do it again, that would definitely be on my list of requirements. Then, it was all about just finding the vendor with the cheapest price that still had an adequate number of informative reviews - longer than a few words. Keep in mind that taking the phone to the Apple Store and having them replace the screen there costs $330, so at a certain point, like if the screen costs more than $250, you mine as well take the phone to the Apple Store so you don't risk bricking the phone or messing it up. So, that's something else to keep in mind - the screen has to be reasonably priced. Given the tradeoffs between the price and the slightly larger bezel, I felt that this screen, at $150, was good enough.

Looks like you bought a hard OLED display. The closest to OEM is soft OLED.

yes, you are correct. I would've preferred a soft oled screen, but the hard oled screen was almost as good; only difference is the bottom chin is slightly bigger, as I show in the video

Most of these tutorials don't show you how to ground yourself, and DIYing your own device you end up frying your device, first learn how to ground yourself then attempt to fix your device.
