Replacing Brake Pads & Rotors on a Toyota Corolla

Here I show you an EASY STEP-BY-STEP DIY on Changing Brake Pads & Rotors on a Toyota Corolla.
If you happen to have a shudder in the steering wheel when you brake, you may need to replace your brake pads and rotors.
Although our brake pads appeared to still have some life left in them, we don't know how old they were as we bought the car secondhand or if they were replaced with a no-name cheapie set!
The whole lot cost less than $160 plus the time it took to do it which wasn’t very long at all!
Once changed, it was smooth driving!

Next time you tap on something to break it loose, save your ratchet and use a designated breaker bar. I've stripped a couple over the years. A ratchet's teeth aren't meant to absorb impact.

those pads looked good ... not sure why yoiu replaced them.

You're right, they may have looked good but they were probably a cheap no name brand which when I pulled one off, part of the pad broke off in my hand so I thought I'd replace the lot which cost less than $170 for rotors and pads! 👍 I didn't want put it all back together with the old pads and still have the shudder and then have to pull everything apart again. Brakes are smooth as silk now! 👌
