Mines doing the same thing. Really gotta hand it to Fisher and Paykel, parts availability and the serviceability of the dishwasher is awesome!

Thanks. We have a double drawer. If I can get the PCB, I can do that myself. Cheers.

Just try disassembling and cleaning the buttons first. A lot of problems that look like PCB issues are actually the buttons sticking down.

Sweet cheers for that. Now I don't need a sparky

Great moves there old sport! How did you source that PCB for a 20 year old washer? Good riddance to planned obsolescence.

Good question. Link to the part direct from F&P is in the video description.

How did you get the component loose? Where did you get the part from?
@HandSolitude5 ай бұрын
@@jeffreygenerelli8483 Bought the parts directly from Fisher and Paykel NZ... The other thing to make sure first is that the buttons aren't getting stuck down due to food and dirt around the buttons.

If I can’t change my modes is this what I need?

Try taking the button panel apart and giving it a clean first.

I have had this board replaced 4 times now, approaching a 5th time. Costs over $400 each time incl labour. Must be a poor design that this keeps happening

Hey man. I found that there was two other things I had to do to fix it. Also replace the control panel, and clean out the goop from around the buttons at the same time. Now it's working perfect. I think the problem is caused by buttons getting stuck down and cooking the board.

@@HandSolitude Hey, this video is really helpful. My identical unit seems to have died (no power on ) and a 60-second reset doesn't solve it. But your latest comment confuses me: Are you saying that after changing the main board (as in your video) you still had problems, which required you to replace the "control panel" ALSO? Was that straightforward? All in all, a pretty pricey self-repair?
@HandSolitude Жыл бұрын
@@jsnuk3556 Yeah it was still playing up after the new board. The control board at the top with the buttons and the LCD panel are easily replaced also and not too expensive. This is the part number... 528044NP I made another video but my brother has the camera I need to get it off him to put it up on youtube. You have to slide the rail at the top to the left to get it off.
