Replacing MC4 connectors with SAE BIG increase in amps!

UPDATE: I have noticed a substantial increase in the power output. I’ve picked up 5 to 7 amps on average and this is primarily due to the heat loss that was associated with the MC4 connectors. 
I’ve been having trouble with the MC four type connectors on the ground with my solar panels. I was finding that the connectors were degrading overtime, and in some cases melting, causing me to have to replace a connector every so often and my friend Denny who knows a lot about such things suggested I change over to SAE connectors , I bought the connectors on Amazon and he helped me put them on and schooled me on how to do it properly
