It had a track that it locks into.

@@diversity2739 my 2005 Yukon’s sunroof ripped off and I bought the glass off of a 2003 suburban because it’s the same part but there’s no way to connect it and I’m not sure what I’m missing. Before I took it off the sunroof still had a gasket and all that would slide back the glass was just gone

I purchased the sunroof glass. I wanted to know if the “side track piece” is 1 full piece that connect to glass to the track or are there multiple pieces that connect it on each side?

Hey, Mark. I really didn't notice at the time. I was only in-screwed the hex bolts until the glass came out. Just type in how to replace and install sun roof.
