I just replaced shock at 90,000 klm. I chose a YSS shock with comparable performance to Race tech at half the price. Quality billet unit, fully adjustable and beautiful ride.😊

Dont need to remove fender or mudguard...get bike way up in air and put on car jack stands. Can remove shock from underneath and side easily. Wheel will drop down enough to clear fender also. No need to mark adjusters..just measure swing arm libit bilt center to rear acke and get exact same measurement on left and right sides. Make sure belt is set at .51 in if deflection at 10 lb/ft whilenon sidestand (spec is .38-.51 and looser side if aoec better for longevity).manual is wring on rear wheel torque...dont out it on at 100 lb/ft....65 is pleanty. Stock shock SUCKS use a modified Goldwing gl1800 rear shock (called Road-Wibg shock conversion).

Are these bikes prone to issues looking to buy one

Thank you for your comment sir on the bike if multiple owners had to bike before you are looking at some problems if it's a one owner bike morning likely you won't have any issues other than just cleaning the carburetor or cleaning the gas tank that bike that I have I love it it has had about four or five previous owners and that bike has been abused now that I got it I love riding it is there's so much I can say about the bike that I love about that bike so if it's a multiple owner bike check it out good before you buy the charging system The look underneath at that rear shock and see if there's any oil underneath there check the oil level like I said they are so many things just check the back out good before you buy thank you for your comment sir I hope this will help you I wish I can be better at explaining it 👍
