thank you brother. I put my mirage in the ditch a few months ago and now I have the pleasure of replacing them sunday.

For those wondering about each nut's torque, I have the repair manual and they are: Front strut: Camber bolts (the 2 at the bottom): 80 - 94 ft.lbs. Strut insulator (3 top ones): 32 ft.lbs. Self-locking nut (the single one that holds the spring and strut together) 43 ft.lbs. ABS sensor (not all Mirages have it): 18 ft.lbs. Back strut: Brake drum connection to lower arm: 66 ft.lbs. Strut connection to lower arm: 66 ft.lbs. Strut insulator (the 2 top ones that you access from the trunk): 33 ft.lbs. Self-locking nut (the single one that holds the spring and strut together): you will not believe it, but its just 18 ft.lbs. This is for 1997 to 2002 Mirages.

Great work as always. If you ever decide you want to convert the rear drums to disc brakes let me know. I've been making rear disc conversion kits for the colt/mirage/lancer for about 12 years now.

Dang I thought you were going to say something about the next project build. I thought the front spring was gonna jump on you. This was definitely a nerve racking video. Still a great job in the end.
@GTsPerformance6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rudy! About the project, I just want to make sure I have some content before announcing it. Honestly, I'm not sure what route to go with it cuz usually the first mod is paint or making it pretty. And I want to either do engine mods or suspension. But I'll ask on the announcement video what you guys want to see first. Let's just say it's a chevy, and it's old skool 😉
@rudyflores68986 жыл бұрын
GT's Performance I can't wait to see what it is. I would say to do an engine project first. Either way I'm sure it's gonna be a great video. Old school Chevy wow that's awesome

How much should all this cost parts and labor? My shit is obliterated
@GTsPerformance5 жыл бұрын
Well, every car is different, but I always look around first to find the best prices. Ebay usually wins 🤷♂️ I paid $75 for front struts, $50 for the rear and $25 for the lowering springs (front&back). Also, I did the work myself so I wouldn't know how much you can expect to pay for the labor
