You know you don't grease sealed bearings right? They are pregreased from the factory no need to mix different types of grease you will only shorten the life of the bearing.
@AthenasGarageOffical2 жыл бұрын
The grease from factor is not up to my standards compared to what you can add to it. As well as it not actually packed just lightly lubricated. While I do believe you can just throw your bearing in and not worry about it, I've Always packed any bearings I get and do so enough that it pushes most of the pre greased crap out. I've never had one fail prematurely from it, tho I have had bearing fail very quickly by not adding any grease. It's really up to you what you wanna do. I will always pack mine
@SJ_9992 жыл бұрын
@@AthenasGarageOffical the grease attracts dirt. If it’s sealed that’s because they don’t want the grease bringing in dirt to the bearings. The grease in there is the perfect amount for the bearing. The bearing will always fail before the grease goes bad

Coated with gunk LOL. It's grease and it will either dry out or the mineral oil will separate. Grease is basically a soap mixed with oil & if a tube of grease is stored long enough the oil will separate and leak out.

I did not know that, thanks that's pretty interesting

@@AthenasGarageOffical I maybe moved it fraction of an inch. I feel like I’m hitting the frame cylinder. I’ve been smacking it with a 24 mm on the bottom rubber seal, of coarse on the hottest day of the year.

Yea definitely not a good day to start 😂 but yea I just remembered it was an absolute pain to get it out. You lubed it up?
@AthenasGarageOffical2 жыл бұрын
And when you say bottom rubber you mean the outside race correct? U need to take both dust seals out then the c clip the. It should come out with some decent force and lube as in wd40 or something similar
