Replacing the alternator on my 2015 Honda Civic Si!

Funny just came back to FL from the Smokey Mountains and my alternator died. I will be doing this shortly.

For anyone watching that is not the ground wire. It’s the power wire for the alternator the alternator is grounded by its casing. And please always disconnect your battery before changing alternators or you run the risk of shorting and frying you micu

Hey so pretty sure my alternator is toast, tested at alternator getting 12.4 v and same at battery although I don’t have any codes at all. Could it be something else?

Quick way to check the alternator. Start your car or truck and pull the positive side of the battery terminal off. If your car or truck stays running it's something else. If it dies it's the alternator..

would the 2 bottom bolts be easier to get to from the bottom if you remove the splash guard??

How’d you get take out the alternator and put the new one in? I can’t seem to pull it up because of the little space

It took me a little time. Once u the the pully wheel off its all about the angle I had to turn it to were the wheel on the alternator was pointing to the sky then lift out

How did you get access to the two bolts under the alternator? I can’t seem to get to them! Ahhhhhhh!!!!!

@@o0opancake0o0 use an extension. Also I took off the intake manifold after trying to squeeze it through the A/C line. I didn't want to risk it & honestly I spent more time struggling to do so than just taking off the manifold.
