A very useful video, many thanks. I was always willing to get an XJ clock into my X-type dash board. Now that I know how it is designed from inside, I will think about getting it.

Great to meet you today at Gaydon. That clock looks miles better than the original clock really surprising the difference it makes to the look of the dashboard, especially when my car was parked right next to yours for instant comparison.

Hi Ralph, It was great to meet you too at the Gaydon Jaguar Breakfast Meet, you have a nice looking XJR 308, you will always have a smile on your face when driving one of the most beautiful looking cars on the road. We have a few more videos coming up on our KZbin channel, so keep a lookout for them, I hope you’ll enjoy watching them. See you again possibly at some other marvellous Jag meets.

Thanks Roly, removal of veneers is always a little worrying, especially around the airbag, looked quite easy 😀

Roly, I have a 1989 Jaguar XJS and I am removing the trip computer and want to install this same clock and install new wood panels. Do you know where I can get the specification and drawings that show the wiring in the harness and dimensions of the clock to get the holes drilled out in the new wood panel? This is a great video with a lot of detail as to how to take the car apart and replace the clock.

Informative. My clock on the x350 works but doesn’t light up. I wonder if you can replace the bulb in the clock box?

Thanks for watching. Yes you can replace the bulb 💡.

That's a cool color what is it? Is it just plain green or an LED or what?
