Replacing the Clockspring on 2008 Toyota Tacoma - Airbag Light, Cruise

Watch how I replaced the clockspring on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma. I made a few mistakes that I explain, but in the end this worked to fix my cruise control. Since purchasing the truck I have never had working cruise control and this was the issue.

Glad I didn’t follow this one. I only had to pull the lower column cover, air bag, wheel. Done. Easy 🙂 . the false pedal kick panel and lower dash removal was not really needed. The top column cover is attached just lift it up carefully to remove the clip for the clock spring

7:56 what is the Grey wire plugged into? I cannot find anything that it would plug into

The grey plug connection is for the "Steering wheel angle sensor". Its a thing plastic ring that connects to the clock spring housing before the clock spring is installed.

So does it plug into anything? I can find a place to plug it In either

​@@kyleysprowles4989 It does plug into something, to the "Steering wheel angle sensor". It piggy backs onto the clock spring housing, and then clock spring is installed as shown in video.

You didn't have to remove all that.
