Done! Thanks again, the part that I ordered did not have the electric par of the actuator, it needed to be transfered from the part that I removed.

I went thru several of these videos showing how to do this, yours is by far the best! Thank you! One question, you said you were going to lube the replacement actuator but didn't show how you do it. do you have a video for that? Of not, can you share your process?

I simply sprayed it down with silicone oil and worked it through and I only did that because it was a used part. If it was new I wouldn't have worried about it.

Something may not be hooked up correctly or something is binding it up after you got it back together.

What is the screw size to connect the door lock actuator back to the latch assembly? I seem to have lost the screws

So what exactly prevents the latch from resetting in the first place? Is there a broken part that can be repaired or replaced in my mechanism without replacing the whole assembly?

Usually, it is because of multiple worn parts in the mechanism so getting new parts would be difficult.
