Replacing the Inner Clutch Housing on my 2017 Polaris RZR Turbo

Today we head to the garage to replace the Inner clutch housing on my 2017 turbo rzr. We did the same on my Juniors 2018 RZR. Should be the similar for different model years and models.

working on mine right now making sure alignment and spacing is correct between the primary shaft and secondary...recommend alignment/spacing tool from Hunterworks by the way. My question is, the pain in the A$% bolt that is a on top right side of inner cover, how in the world do you get a wrench on that nut on the other side? That is going to be a real pain when retorquing. Any tips would be appreciated on special tool or something else that you have discovered?

how common is the housing breaking when the belt blows and is there an upgrade to a stronger housing?

I haven't heard of anything besides the stock housing in the rzr. So all 3 RZR'S in our group killed the stock inner housing with the factory belt. The evo belt seems to come apart in pieces and haven't taken out a case since switching to the evo belt.

My 16 rzr turbo is eating rear brake pads Are you having this problem

The 4 seater you see in some of our videos has 1800 miles on original pads. If your eating thru pads too often check that nothing is getting hung up.

If you're in a lot of mud it will kill the brake pads those are original to that machine I have not changed them but if they start squeaking there is a break between the 2 pads that you have to scrape out with a screwdriver make sure yet none of your slides are sticking that will cause premature brake wear

Tim Abner thx The front are doing fine The rear last 15 hrs and 61 miles They are not dragging And they both seem to lock up at the same time on a gravel road Been using race driven Yes we do run through a lot of muddy water Just figure they should last longer than that

It was a cheaper brand. After using one I'm not sure it matters all that much. Thanks for watching

Don’t you have to align the clutch after unbolting the trans from the engine?

Yeah we realized 6 months after doing the video that you should realign it. it was still aligned properly but it should be checked for sure. We might do a video on the moving forward.

We ordered it direct from polaris. You can jb weld it if the split isn't bad. But once it starts cracking, its only a matter of time.

I think they cost a little less than $200 if I remember right. Tried to jb weld the original and it held till I lost another belt, then it made a mess of things.
