Replacing the Lister LD1 pust Rods and Diesel Tank and First start up

This is my 1955 Lister LD1 2HP @ 1000RPM. it had a rusted out tank and a bunt push rod so I replaced them and got it running for the first time under my ownership I bought the engine in January 2013xzs

How exact the repair need to be? My LR1 has similar issue on 1 pushrod

@@wilfredprins9718 Straiten it best you can. or iv you have a lathe, chuck it up, and while spinning make force with your hand on a pice of something on it pushing and that will strait it up.

How do you tell the year of the engine?

Ambrose Pilgrim look at the last digits in the engine number this one is LD1 5 LD is the type 1 is the number of cylinder so this makes at single 5 is the year you add it onto 1950 so that is 1950+5=1955 hope this helps
