Awesome video! I think it's great that you showed every step along the way. Only trouble i had which wasnt too bad was the ribbon cable at the end. Found it was easier to do if you manipulated it a little down then put the remote almost together leaving a little gap and doing it. Again thank you for helping me save money on a replacement remote. Took about 40 ish minutes watching and pausing. 🍻

I'm sorry to hear that. They are pretty awkward to get at. I found applying a fair amount of pressure onto the screw while trying to turn it helps - the application of brute force and ignorance usually has a positive effect. It's one of the things that is always a little annoying in our "global community" - I'd like to be able to literally help people out with stuff like this is they're struggling, but it's usually not practical unfortunately.

I fixed this problem by just spraying WD-40 liberally inside the thumbstick cavity whilst moving it around. No disassembly was necessary.

From what I gather, the problem is often caused by dirt on the sensor inside the stick, so I wouldn't be at all surprised that would work. I just like taking things apart... 🙂
