Thank you so much for this video! It was such a relief to simply replace the turntable motor rather than having to purchase another microwave.

Bob I just changed out my hotpoint microwave motor and it still doesn’t work. Should I be looking for something else that caused the motor not to work ?

Could be the control board? Check the motor outside of the microwave to verify that it works. I wish you the best. Thanks for watching.

Oh wow, so we gotta do some cutting. Thought there be a way to get around that. The underside of my microwave looks exactly like that

Do you know what the motor number would be on a Emerson MW8992RD? Or is there one that would work on Emerson brand?
@funbro14 жыл бұрын
Double check but part # 6549W1S013H should work for that model. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

So, how so you figure out if it's the motor that needs replacing or the switch? Both can affect it from not spinning while everything else works perfectly.....

The motor can be removed and tested by hooking it straight up to power. If it doesn't turn then there is a good chance the motor is bad. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching
