A friend and I played this in El Salvador in 2001 and had the same problem. We both had to align our sites on the sub and failed to do so in the one second time frame prompting the failed game state with no continues or opportunity to retry. You had to replay the WHOLE game. So, it was key to tell whoever you were playing with to WAIT and coordinate your firing at the same time....LOL....or you would leave that game quite angry.

Confidential Mission reminds me of Virtua Cop, since it had the timed reticle this game has. They should have played Confidential Mission better with a light gun accesory that works on modern TVs.

90s 3D games made me laugh like Deadly Premonition makes me laugh. Also, Outtrigger! I had a demo of that on an Official Dreamcast Magazine disc. But I remember running around in FPS mode. It was not great. On the other hand, Quake 3 Arena was awesome and used the same controls. ABXY moved the character like the left control stick on a modern controller, the thumbstick aimed.
