As an MTBer, all I can say is WOW, that was some amazing stuff, insane balance, haven't seen flatland since the late 80s and man has it progressed. As an MTBer, I've only watched slopestyle and such events and while very different disciplines, I think what I found lacking with this was the lack of OPO tricks, no one seemed to be able to spin/do tricks opposite to their favoured direction, in slopestyle the best/top athletes are throwing down OPO tricks and you can't even tell them from the regular ones they're so clean. I think in flatland, this is where the next step is, to start spinning against your favoured direction or doing rear wheel tricks if you're known as a front wheel specialist etc.
@CornishFiddleTunes2 жыл бұрын
While I agree that when someone works out how to do opposite stuff in flatland it will absolutely change the game I think you may be underestimating just how ridiculously difficult all of this stuff is. As amazing as those slopestyle guys are it's not really comparable to this. I understand your veiwpoint and Flatland will get there but I guarantee that if you have a go at this stuff you'll understand why it hasn't got there yet.
@nathannguyen35642 жыл бұрын
You do not ride flatland, you do not understand the structure of these tricks. People do OPPO stuff both ways like Chase Gouin, Kevin Jones or Moto Sasaki (just to name a few) choose not to do it OPPO and go with the flow and link with combos, especially for contests. Totally different concept compared to MTB. Apples to Oranges.

Didn’t always agree with the judges but can’t fault them. The riding was incredible. Nice to see the young ones coming in with fresh tricks and some the more seasoned riders showing they haven’t yet peaked. Level of difficulty so high.

To have this, you know you have handled it. Flatland is very peculiar, and the riders are also. There's depth that each aesthetic display that is cause trauma. 12 months no move then step and let out a screem. I know how trauma is. I broke both my legs on my fist time on a freewheel ride that was my friends bike who was 11yr old as was I. Who don't live a skid? A bad bridge and pole accident. From the months no walk, move and you can imagine the rest. Now life the veteran and what echo only that one thing. Calm lucky charm. Stay gold. Yeah the spine broke too. Cha ching. All that only energy, and I feel so full of holy communion. Wish it never end. The fire that is in the heart.

It's always ideal when you can just change that steering Line adjustment. My naish bar has that but I've found to perfectly tune sometimes you have to either change the knots or sometimes tie a figure 8 knot on the pigtail sometimes. Shrunk and stretched lines are so frustrating!

"inspired by brake dancing" LoL, i guess you never heard of Nicholas Edward Kaufmann or Lilly Yokoi and the many others that were riding long before brake dancing was a thing, it was called Artistic cycling which has been around since the late 1800's, that mixed with break dancing inspired flatland. if you're going to disseminate facts do it correctly.

There's a moment in the comp were the announcer stated that a rider was doing some sort of wizardry. And that struck with meaning because I am a Harry Potter fan and decrypted the Marauders Map and remember it's many circles of notations and depicted references. The rhetorical meaning of flatland wizardry and; consequently, the structure of the Maraders Map Nathan Hollins decryption has binding implications of a substantial majority. The expression of flatland must be inbred with a common respect under the strain of wizard transition according to the notion of a binding hash law with which initiated a meta-out of supremacy.
@nathanhollins91282 жыл бұрын
When I do wizardry on my bike I am rolling at 9 miles per hour and hopping with my bike towards a vinyl New England posted fence at an angle of around 20 degrees and hitting my pegs through the magicaly transfiguration of the fence with the force of an adult male baseball bat swing that has left a loud bell toll of the several steel chain column structures that proceed an some odd 25 degree inclined paved surface, at Power Inn Skate park in Sacramento California USA, Granite Regional Skateboard Park amenity near the bleachers out the park.

There is such a thing that I know of as flatland wizardry. Where magic is actualized by the way of a solum lonely flatlander is merely Araya hope acquainted by a grater flatlander and the greater flatlander does within his reticle of tricks a classic trick, (live-a-skid)and the undeveloped flatlander miraculously does a next generation trick.

Think about the work, it like all work. The many Flanders that do a 9 to 5 with a hammer and nails. There shouldn't be a lack of economics. Enough for a revolution. You can 360, you get a studio appartment. Manual acrost a city block and your living in a luxurious apartment. Steamroller, G-spin, McCircle, you have a single family home. Just a little more and your in a two story house. Theses guy's live in mansions. Enough of this family business. Living are dreams. Leaving the family business! Get away from the family. Living the dream. A new way, a new world, a new life! All you get to see.
