ストライダー飛竜は面白かった。ゲーメストで販売してた下敷き買ったし、コンプコミックスで発売された漫画版は今でも大切に保管してます。影踏み弾避けまくる飛竜はカッコ良かった。

3:30　バウンティーハンター　ソロの最期物々しい装備、思わせぶりに登場もあっけなく散華。飛竜の超人的強さを表現するいい演出でした。よくみるとスーツが爆散する中、生身の人も小間切れ・・・つくづく芸が細かい。 MD版とはグランドマスター討伐直後～EDが違うんですね。アーケードの再現だけでなく、さらに味が増すようテコ入れ。見比べることで飛竜開発チームの仕事ぶりを長い時を経て知ることが出来ました。

I've always really liked this one. In addition to the slightly surreal art style and the great voice acting (including the use of multiple languages to give the game a really solid sense of place), there's a lot of pioneering work done in terms of player movement and physics. The level design's heavy use of non-orthagonal angles is really nice. Pretty well thought out in general, for the most part.

Strider was one of those games that proved that a true-to-arcade port could be done on Genesis.

There were subtle differences. The hardware of the genesis was not able to emulate the graphics of the arcade. You won't really notice it unless you were _really_ into the game had both games side by side. oh yeah and the endings were different

hdjksa52 In the Genesis version, there's also a wider variety of music and some slowdown in places. It's impressive for a home port in 1990 of an arcade game that wasn't even a year old yet.

oh yeah they did a great job at porting it over. In that era getting games that kicked ass in the arcade onto your home system was _not_ happening. You were buying a different game. However I enjoyed fine details in the arcade game that the genesis game lacked.

This game is a masterpiece of game design. The commands was so simple, and despite that there's no part that was similar to another, it's almost like a movie. First you're fighting an endless stream of wolves, then you must break a door while the wolves are attacking, then you're fighting a giant mech gorilla that explodes and set the floor on fire, then you're climbing a vertical well, all in the span of 1 minute.

This game was just so beautifully bizarre. I remember playing it in a laundromat back when I was a kid. Never did get past the second level. "I GOT YOU."

I played this on genesis and couldn't get off the first level. I thought the game was broken and returned it to blockbuster. I just rented streetfighter 2 instead.

Great memories with this one, well the Megadrive one. It was one of the first games i played on that system, years later i played the arcade original on the Capcom collections on PS2 and its great except one major flaw, they left out half the music. Im not sure if its an early revision rom that they emulated or not but yeah all of stage 3 and 5 music is just gone.

The designer said that the only thing holding the full idea he had for strider, was the hardware was holding him back, from achieving with he envisioned.

ビデオゲームとしても、カプコンゲームとしても地味な作品。それでも歴史に残る、とんでもない傑作であることに疑いの余地はない。スト II 以前のカプコン作品で、間違いなく多くプレイした作品。ゲーム性の高さやグラフィックの良さ、音楽の素晴らしさは言わずもがな。加えて、作品世界の設定や精度もかなり高く、なぜアニメ化されなかったのかが不思議に思えるほど。昨今のなろう系アニメなんかより、よっぽど素晴らしく意義のある作品でなったであろう。何より、アクションゲームで「上に落ちる」感覚を味わったのは、自身の経験では本作が最初であった。ゲームデザインの、何もかもが「秀逸」と感じた、名もなき名作であった。

Nice work! Love The Strider franchise! Recently acquired 1 and 2 for the PS2 and also Strider 3 for the PS3 which is absolutely stunning in itself! All of these games are stunning side-scrolling hack-and-slash beat em ups! Truly the Golden Age of video gaming in my opinion

いい動画、ありがとうございます。一つ疑問がありますが、MAMEでプレイするストライダー飛竜は、一部ステージおよびデモのBGMが１ステージの同じ１曲のみ反復再生されると思います。この動画からは、すべてのBGMが定常的に再生されていますが、その方法が気なります。単純な好奇心ですみませんが、教えていただくことができますか？

BGM含めるなら、X68000版がひとつの完成形だと思います。グランドマスターを倒した時のBGMが全然違います、エンディングはアマゾン面の改変だけど1面が流れるよりはいいかと。

PRETTY MAZE 4年前なので解決してるとは思いますが初期バージョンはバグでそういう症状が出るそうですね。修正された後期バージョンではちゃんとバグは治ってるそうです。

Again I'm kind of freaked out by the "Modified Star" edit... Played the original a lot, and at the time knew an Russian emigrant...! He went "So this is the ... Science Fiction ... Game... That supposed to be Russia?" I went "I guess. How in the world did anyone convince you guys to replace your awesome AK-47s with those things that shoot one or two spark balls a minute that travel at 4 mph and take 3 or 4 direct hits to kill a man?" He got the joke and went "Well I missed class the day we were taught to become giant people centipede...was sick..."

It's a shame that there's no such thing as an arcade emulator, I was able to beat the original arcade version but it was impossible for me to beat the Genesis version.

Means no death, a lot of people get confused over the term, so don't feel bad. It's pretty much a niche term hardcore gamers of the time used due to how dedicated they were to perfect a difficult game.

Довольно странная игра с явным желанием устранить всё советское и всех женщин: 5-конечная звезда переделанная в 4-конечную, Казахская АССР, зачем-то упоминание Международной Демократическое Федерации Женщин (типа он напал на их логово?), уничтожение амазонок. Разработчик игры явно был под чем-то.
