Whoever thought you could complete the game with just the sword. Especially beating the fourth boss in one try. And also, this play through was very realistic too. Thanks for the video, it gave me most fond memories of playing this game as a teenager.

Great gameplay, specially the part where you sacrifice yourself when you accidentally took the Axe, specially if we take account that it happened in the last stage where you can't continue if you lose all the lives.

When you’re told all other weapons are cursed and you can only use what you brought with you. Conan I think was the same way, so no shame there.

屋外ステージBGMがすんごくダライアスっぽいよね。で、城の中のBGMはカダッシュっぽい。 やったことはないけれど、タイトー感あふれる一作というのが伝わってくる。

アーケードゲームって1プレイだいたい3分程度でゲームオーバーになる作りになっている。このラスタンサーガも城にたどり着いたかどうかくらいでゲームオーバーだった。

海外版ラスタンサーガはタイトルが「ラスタン」のみ、デモプレイにアイテム紹介あり、コイン投入後のOPデモが無い…あー、そうだ。地元のゲーセンに置いてあったラスタンサーガはこれだったな。

The Japanese version had more story and background. I liked that one since it game more insightful views into Rastan’s story.

ステージクリア後の文章が「勇敢な戦士は次の難関へ向かった」ような感じで固定、エンディングも文章がないままスタッフロールへ移行…ストーリーよりゲーム内容を重視したような設計だったのか、海外版は。

The good thing about no sub-weapons you can then focus on survival. The bad things? Minimal damage (no axe), and short range (morning star gave longer reach, and fire sword let you throw fireballs. But most times when you have only a sword, you don’t always know if you can safely deal with getting out-of-the-way stuff that won’t last.

Anyways the Sword is powerful enough to defeat most regular enemies with a single strike.

サクサク進行していますが、実際やるとムズくてバランスが悪いんですよね。 1面が難しくここを超えると割と行けます。あと毒（マイナスライフ）薬はひどいｗ ボス戦はあっさりしすぎて、ボス曲が聞けないのが残念。 グラフィックもいいけど当時のタイトー節バリバリのBGMが最高でした。なお続編はｗ
