If you want to relive the nightmare, there is a total conversion for Doom called Splatterhouse 3D. The author did a prime job with translating the look, feel and gameplay of Splatterhouse to a 3D setting. He even used most sprites in this game as baseline for his assets!

@@yako1129 ラスボスにダメージ与えて、地面から４回目に出てくる時に、ライフ２つでスライディングで突っ込み、ダメージ喰らってライフ１状態でラスボス倒して、上から降ってくる石に当たって死ねばできます。 石の飛ぶ方向がランダムなので、運要素が非常に高いですが、ラスボス倒すと残機が1upするので、理論上は無限にできますよ＾＾

このゲームを初めてクリアした時、「もしこんな事態が現実に起こって、警察に事情聴取されたり、彼女の身内に説明を求められたらどうしよう。こんな話誰も信じる訳がない」なんて自分でも変だと思う様な事を考えたのを思い出すな...。まあ彼女はこのゲームの続編で実は生きていた事が判明してた上に、主人公と結婚して子供も生まれたのは良かったけど。

Tool-Assisted Speedrun. I have been informed by another Splatterhouse player that there are moments you can forgo damage by mashing, so that explains the stage VI boss, as well as the hit boxes for the rotation blades aren't what they appear.
