I'm actually certain she was originally a strong contender. But the aliens/predator rights were a mess to sort out. Having her without any alien/predator appearance (like with jill/Chris and zombies or captain commando and the rest of his squad) was deemed to make her appearance less interesting so she was dropped.

I played this game ONCE. I used a predator but when I died, amid the fumbling of quarters to continue, I respawned as this chick. Honestly, her gun made it a hell of a lot easier for the mobs and I at least got to the vehicle section in the first 10 minutes.

Tell me about it. Me and my job corps buddies had access to the 4 player one. They called Dutch and the Predators, laughed at me for taking the woman that doesn't even use her sword as much as the others. After the initial Alien Queen, they realized they spent twice the quarters and I was doing all this cool shit they didn't have access to. Was a blast.

Fun Fact: Maki Genryusai's roster slot in Capcom vs. SNK 2 was originally planned for Linn Kurosawa from this game, but due to legal issues was switched to Maki. There were also plans to give Maki an identical moveset to Linn as a way to include her regardless, but this would also end up being scrapped as well.

Linn is far and away the best character in this game. Cool tip, you can cancel her slide kick into her sword slice dash attack and cancel that into her fireball.

Man, I have had the pleasure of playing this game only once with the hunter predator and had to abandon my quarter 20 min in because the movie was starting. The hunter can pin opponents to a wall and hold them there until their deaths. As long as you throw your finisher in the opposite direction.
