I still love replicas and believe me I helped my teacher who was an amazing mechanic fabrication tech he made a Lamborghini countach back in the 90s he got the design drawings from Lamborghini we even used the original brakes suspension wheels interior fabrication front tubular steel to exact dimensions. This is because they are using a different chassis and the wheelbase doesn't line up 100% perfectly. I believe they used a Boxer chassis since its engine layout and wheelbase is as close as you could get. If be interested to know what chassis they use for their builds though to confirm. The mr2 and Pontiac fiero are much shorter/narrower so replicas that use those are dead give aways.
