i watched this in high school and it didn't hit as hard as when i rewatched it in college after i moved out and realized that home will never be MY home anymore. just like ryan said, it felt like i was letting go of something i've been holding on to for a really long time. i think once i graduate next year ill rewatch it a third time and i know it's going to hit the most then, but i think this show was always necessary for me because my family is the most important thing in the world, and being away from them is just so hard. they've been my only constant in my life, everyone else has left or hurt me. the first time i rewatched i was about to go abroad for 2 years of uni after my first year of uni only being a short plane ride away. now as i near the end of my two years and get ready to go back to the uni nearer to home, i have to figure out a way to not get so attached again. the scene where everything is broken down literally killed me and i cried so much. it felt like everyone just moved on without a thought even though their street held so many memories. still, it feels good to know they're meeting up now and then. the parents' youth line also destroyed me because it's so real. i wish i could go back to those days when they were more energetic and we could play around much more. this is why this show has always been so important to me. SPOILER if you haven't watched: finally, to end off on a silly note, i knew the moment deoksun gave taek a little pat on the butt in the first ten minutes that he was going to be endgame. even on my first watch i had no doubts. he truly deserved her. he pursued her, he even gave jungwon a small chance that jungwon never took. and i loved how funny he became as they grew older and how he grew out of his shyness lol my recommendation for your next round of dramas: youth of may (literally two of the BEST actors in korea) & family by choice (just another sweet drama about family thats super cute and last two eps coming out this week) & judge from hell (park shinhye's first baddie role that no one can say she's a bad actress ever again. SO GOOD!). you also watched the trailer for no gain no love, i think you would love that! it has a 2 episode spin off called spice up our love about the second lead couple and its soooo cute.

a lot of people saying hospital playlist and YESSSS I AGREE!!! + PRISON PLAYBOOK!!! they all have the same director, which is Shin Won-Ho. i would say he's REAAALLLY good in making slice of life type of drama. a lot of doctors reacted to the hospital playlist and they say it's pretty realistic but of course not 100%!!! but please please please try hospital playlist and prison playbook!! in the korean title, they have the same title, which is "Wise Hospital Life" and "Wise Prison Life"!!!

It's so crazy how it's been nearly 2 months since I finished this drama and I have to say it might be my favorite show of all time completely disregarding genres and internationality. I felt a wide range of emotions watching reply 1988 and I'm just really glad to see more people enjoying this series as well.

The scene hyeri got a called at school that her grandma passed away, she cried for real and cant stop even after director said Cut. Her real grandma just passed away the day before. Noeul caught cancer irl after the drama but he recovered and healthy now. Hyeri and Junyeol just recently broke up after dting for years since the drama. My ship heart was in pain bcs i genuinely rooting for them in the drama and the they dated officially after the drama ends Sunwoo and bora are besties irl. The day they found out they were casted and will play as couple cringed them soooo hardd
