Rupankar Bagchi's saying 'Who is KK?' is definitely extremely rude and infact was completely unexpected from him. But it is a fact that in Bengali and other regional music industries, artists really work quite passionately towards every aspect starting from the musical compositions to the lyrics. And the end product is anyday better than Bollywood creations those mostly focus on spicy contents that will be liked by the mass audience. There are obviously exceptions to it such as music directors like AR Rahman, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, etc.. Singers like KK, Kumar Sanu, Kishore Kumar, etc. are definitely wonderful if you are listening to music just for solace, relaxation, leisure, or entertainment. But if you understand more about the analytical aspects of music or if you are more interested in poetry and lyrical aspects, then you will start judging an artist by his or her musical skills or the experimentations and creativity brought in the works. From this later aspect Bengali and many other regional artists are doing quite better than many nation-wide popular stars.

খারাপ ভাববেন না তবে এটা একটা সমস্যা ,আপনি প্রেম করার জন্য হিন্দি গান গাইলেন ,মানে বাঙালি এখন প্রেমে পড়লে বাংলা গান গায় না । মানে বাঙালি ছেলে বাঙালি মেয়ে প্রেম করবে কিন্তু তাদের আনন্দের ভরসা হিন্দি গান ।এটা সমস্যা বলে অন্তত আমার মনে হয় ।
