What about if you do multiple purchases of the same stock in 1 day. Or buy and sell on the same day? Can you do a tutorial on a tax return taking into consideration the bed and breakfast/30day rule? Thankyou

If you purchase multiple times the same asset, for example I buy Bitcoin on 10 different dates, do you need to supply every date of purchase or just enter one date and include the value of all the purchases of bitcoin?

Many thanks Adam for sharing this! I have followed your process to report in fact a capital loss from selling shares and I have no capital gain this year. But I can't see the record of capital loss that I can carry forward. Is there any way to check whether I correctly reported capital loss and can use that loss to offset the future gain?

I'm scrabbling to find info here. I don't do a self assessment as I've closed down my business, because I retired .. Then inheritance handed me a house.. Which I sold to give my brother his residue from mums Will. How the .. heck .. do I contact Capital Gains Tax office?! (No return address OR email OR website on their letter. Where do I send the pigeon?)

I have capital loss and how many years I could use to offset the gain. Could I hold it till the year I want to exercise the offset . And could I use it to offset gain from bank interest or rental gain. Thanks a lot

Hello. Great video. If I disposed of a property (2nd property not main residence) in 2013/14 and I made a loss of £17,500 which I declared on that tax return, do I need to keep carrying forward that loss on every year’s tax return? Or does the fact that I declared in that year mean I can use that loss against a future capital gain as I am hoping to sell another property next year? Thanks

Thank you, ive learnt something, cos i thought capital gains tax was 21% with no allowance, , ,now i find a 6k allowance and only 10% 👍 i wonder if trading C.F.D. is taxable, cos its more like gambling than investing.
